I handled my own online marketing, updating listings online, marketing flyers,

market comparisons, market analysis and all financial data.

 

Accounts Receivable, Marketing, Customer Relations          

          Melia Mayan Paradisus, Cozumel, Mexico     1994-1998

Responsibilities included handling the accounts receivable for the resort,

consisting of 280 rooms and RCI affiliated tasks, preparing bank deposits,

checking all branches of the resort for completeness and accuracy of their

entries, and assisting in translations and proofreading for the company.

 

Marketing responsibilities included creating pamphlets, articles and brochures

in English and Spanish about the resort and surrounding areas. Creating various in house flyers regarding activities, menus, etc. in English and Spanish.

 

Customer Relation responsibilities included welcoming guests to the resort,

insuring a pleasant arrival and departure, assisting the guests with their

tours and vacationing needs, reservations, verbal and written translations

for the company, data entry, travel arrangements, translations, transcribing

and secretarial duties for the president of sales.

My first job at age fifteen.  I worked my way up from cashier, to team leader

with shift responsibilities in the absence of a manager, to Assistant Manager

in charge of smooth shift operations, including appropriate staffing for the

shift, daily counts for food control, daily paperwork, and control of shift

funds.  Assistant Manager, promoted in three months to General Manager, my

responsibilities as General Manager included staffing the restaurant, weekly

orders of all store products, scheduling, store maintenance and repairs,

counting and calculating weekly and period ending inventory, checking all

daily paperwork and controls, tracking the budget, and overseeing general
